BOOK SABINA

Makeup Artist

Sabina 

Sabina studied Fine Arts and Fashion Design.  After working in the Fashion Industry for a few years she decided to engage in another form of art, Makeup.
Those years working in fashion and the arts were fundamental in making her the Makeup Artist she is today.

Her Makeup career began in 1999 at MAC cosmetics.
In 2004 she moved to Greece with Dimitri where they had the opportunity to open one of the most influential hair salon franchises from England, TONI&GUY.​

Sabina also worked with a local trades college in Patras to implement the school's first Makeup Program. She went on to become their first makeup instructor.

When the crisis began in Greece, Sabina and Dimitri decided to return to Canada after almost a decade abroad.
Upon returning, Sabina reunited with her MAC family, where she worked until she joined her husband/partner at Cocoon Hair to run the family business.

UPDATE: Sabina is the
winner of BEST SALON MAKEUP ARTIST in the GTA for the 2019 Toronto Hair and Beauty Awards!

BOOK DIMITRI

Artistic Director

Dimitri 

Dimitri has been fortunate in his career to have had the opportunity of working for the two most renowned hairdressing outfits in the industry: VIDAL SASSOON and TONI&GUY.   There are few that get a chance to work at either company.  Fewer still have worked at both.  Starting with the best salons in the industry Dimitri then traveled across Europe applying his skills abroad for 10 years.   He fell in love with Europe and opened his own TONI&GUY salon in Patra, Greece.

​As a TONI&GUY Artistic Director, Dimitri has worked the European educational stages for TONI&GUY, L'OREAL, WELLA and SCHWARZKOPF.  More recently Dimitri has educated for the Italian hair company based in Milan, FRAMESI.

Lastly, Dimitri has a BSc in Psychology from the University of York and forewent a career in Law to spend time with people in a more personal way.  This amplifies the friendliness of the conservation to profoundly hilarious levels.  :)

​Dimitri and his father John Maragos have a combined 65 years of experience working in the Clarkson / Lorne Park area.
  Cocoon is the embodiment of that commitment. 
Love for the craft and global perspective wrapped up in a studio located in the neighborhood we grew up in : Clarkson / Lorne Park.
